Since May 6, 1993, the Ehrlich family – soon to be the 3rd generation – has been running this campsite and, together with the hard-working staff, is constantly working to make it more and more beautiful. The campsite blends harmoniously into the natural surroundings of forest, meadows and coastline. Adjacent to the south is Niendorf, a district of the municipality of Hohenkirchen.

The team is always looking for reinforcements, especially during the summer months of June – August. If you are looking for a vacation or summer job for at least 4 weeks, please get in touch. Our seasonal staff have been very happy with the friendly team, the varied job and the many experiences they have had here by the sea.
Throughout the year, Una is permanently employed in guest services, Jeanette and Samy in cleaning, Jens as groundsman, the handyman Jaanus, the gardener Björn and Alexander Ehrlich for this and that. All our year-round employees are also sometimes active in the garden or with tools (after the season).
Horst left us at the beginning of 2024 at the age of 74 as a reliable and exemplary employee for his well-deserved retirement.
Three employees tell us about what it’s like to work in digital operations. What does that mean for guest services, the cleaning staff and the management?
Work 4.0 is lived at ostseequelle.camp. The vast majority of guests are very positive about it, because we have gained a lot of time, especially in guest services. Less bureaucracy, paperless office, more fun…. See for yourself:
Nature
Our ostseequelle.camp is located in a park-like setting between forest, meadows and beach on a small stream called Ostseequelle. Sustainably oriented, we want to offer a vacation in harmony with nature.
The beach
The Wohlenberger Wiek is a bay with particularly shallow water. It heats up quickly and is ideal for swimming. Whether for lazing around, playing, digging, snorkeling, splashing, swimming, hiking, kiting, surfing, diving or fishing, there is something for everyone.
While in winter the nature is all to itself and many birds come to visit us, in summer it is quite lively in good weather and up to 6,000 tourists a day spend wonderful hours on the beach of the Wohlenberger Wiek from sunrise to sunset.
Recreation
The focus here is on relaxation. Online booking and automatic check-in should make it easier for you to arrive on your well-deserved vacation without having to wait. Many services are included and easily accessible. Your taste buds are catered for. Pizzeria with pasta, salads and ice cream, grill bar with burgers, fish, tarte flambée and ice cream as well as a cocktail bar will spoil you.
Fresh bread rolls are available every morning from our “Fruchtquelle” mini market and food trucks are on hand to help reduce waiting times for a hot meal during the high season.
Special consideration is required when working together, which is why we attach great importance to the site rules.
In order to cushion the seasonal peaks, there is a strong focus on digitalization and automation. It is already possible to book, pay, check in and check out contactlessly without visiting our information office. In future, all questions will be answered by our AI chatbot Sabine. All services are designed to be less work and more fun.
So we have more time for you guests and are available to help and advise. We are now a proudly paperless company (with the exception of the A4 site plan on recycled paper).

In 2023, we were the only campsite in Germany to win the ADAC Camping Award for our pioneering role in digitalization.
Our campsite uses agile methods, Kanban, lean management, visualization and process mapping to optimize all processes.
