Friendly dogs

Your dog is very welcome at ostseequelle.camp between Boltenhagen and Wismar!

We are happy to allow up to two well-behaved and child-friendly dogs on our site. Please note that the booking for your four-legged friend must be made in the second step under options. The size and weight of the dog are irrelevant.

A campsite can be an intense experience for dogs – new territory, lots of strangers and unfamiliar noises. For many dogs, this is particularly stressful. Our guests come to us to relax in peace and in nature on the Baltic Sea coast. We therefore ask you to carefully check whether your dog is able to feel comfortable in our environment.

Conspicuous dogs

The Mecklenburg-Vorpommern dog regulations and our site rules apply. Dangerous dogs/fighting dogs are not allowed!
We expel unfathomably barking, pulling and snapping dogs from the site. Guests or employees are bitten almost every year. This must be avoided.

Conspicuously aggressive, fearful or territorial dogs prompt us to issue bans from the site.

Pitches for caravans or motorhomes or tent pitches

Depending on the season, 1 or 2 dogs per pitch are permitted for a fee.
The main seasons are Ascension Day, Whitsun and July to August. You can find out the exact options when booking in step two ‘Options’.

Rental accommodation

In camping barrels, bungalow type 3 and English mobile home max. 1 dog is allowed. Please bring appropriate sleeping places for your dog. Dogs are not allowed on beds and sofas due to the high cleaning costs.

Pets are not allowed in other rental properties. Our bungalows type 1, 2 and 4 are also rented to allergy sufferers.

 

Other pets

Due to allergies, cats are only allowed in their own caravans, mobile homes and tents.

Other quiet and people-friendly pets only on request and for a fee.

Dogs must be kept on a lead

According to the MV Dog Ordinance, dogs must be kept on a lead outside the fence/enclosure. Your dog must therefore also be kept on a lead at all times on the campsite and beyond the dog beach. A long lead is not permitted, as your dog is not allowed to enter other people’s pitches.

Walking (dog faeces)

Please leave the campsite to walk your dog. Should a mishap occur on the way to the exit, the dog poo must be removed immediately. Dog waste bags and dog waste bins are available free of charge at the entrances.

Caution: Do not let your dog run across other people’s pitches or into the sanitary buildings. If dog excrement ends up on another person’s pitch (rented or unrented) or leisure and play areas, you will be banned from the site and it would be regrettable if your holiday were to end like this. Please allow your dog to have fun and relax on holiday and go for regular walks.

Recommendations for walks

• Long walk Niendorf – Wohlenhagen – Wohlenberg – Niendorf (6 km)
• Short walk Niendorf Strandstraße 7/7a – eastern forest – Tamila Beach Club/dog beach (1.5 km)
• Very short (once up to Niendorf and back (0.8 km)
• The dog beach is approx. 400 metres away. Just walk along the beach in the direction of Wismar.

Dog adventure area

2023: our adventure area for dogs on 1000 square metres near Block 4.

• Each guest is responsible for ensuring that their dog behaves appropriately and considerately.
• Fights, bullying and unbalanced ‘games’ must be stopped by the respective dog owners.
• If a dog cannot behave appropriately towards other dogs or people, owner and dog must leave the area.
• Everyone disposes of dog faeces here (from their own and other dogs).

Despite rather sparse vegetation, the bay has a species-rich fauna. This includes mainly mudflats and waterfowl as well as migratory birds that rest here on their way to the breeding grounds. Outside the dog beach, every dog must be kept on a leash.
