Your dog is very welcome at ostseequelle.camp between Boltenhagen and Wismar!

Please note that you must book for your furry friend in the second step under Options. The size and weight of the dog are irrelevant.

A campsite can be an intense experience for a dog – new territory, lots of unfamiliar dogs and unfamiliar noises. For many dogs, this means extra stress. Our guests come to us to relax in peace and nature on the Baltic Sea coast. Therefore, we ask you to carefully consider whether your dog is able to feel comfortable in our environment.

Disruptive dogs

The Mecklenburg-Vorpommern dog regulations and our site rules apply. Dangerous dogs/fighting dogs are not permitted!
We will remove dogs that bark incessantly, pull on the leash or snap at people from the site. Almost every year, guests or employees are bitten. This must be avoided.

Dogs that are conspicuously aggressive, fearful or territorial will result in us issuing expulsion orders.

Pitches for caravans, motorhomes or tents

Depending on the season, a maximum of 1 or 2 dogs per pitch are permitted at a charge.
The peak season is over Ascension Day, Pentecost and in July and August. You can find out the exact options for booking your dog(s) in step two under ‘Options’ when making your booking.

Rental accommodation

A maximum of 1 dog is allowed in bungalow type 3 and in the English mobile home. Please bring appropriate sleeping arrangements for your dog. Due to the high cleaning costs involved, dogs are not allowed on beds or sofas.

Pets are not allowed in any other rental properties. Our bungalows types 1, 2 and 4 are also rented to people with allergies.

Due to the increased cleaning costs and some damage to the barrels, dogs will unfortunately no longer be allowed in the camping barrels from the 2025 season onwards.

Other pets

Due to allergies, cats are only allowed in your own caravans, motorhomes and tents.

Other quiet and people-friendly pets are only allowed on request and for a fee.

Leash requirement

According to the MV Dog Ordinance, dogs must be kept on a leash outside of fenced/enclosed areas. Your dog must therefore always be kept on a leash on the campsite and beyond the dog beach. A long leash is not permitted, as your dog is not allowed to enter other pitches.

Walking your dog (dog waste)

Please leave the campsite to walk your dog. If an accident happens on the way to the exit, the dog waste must be removed immediately. Dog waste bags and dog waste bins are available free of charge at the entrances.

Caution: Do not let your dog run across other people’s pitches or into the sanitary buildings. If dog waste ends up on another person’s pitch (rented or unrented) or on leisure and play areas, this will result in expulsion from the site, and it would be unfortunate if your holiday were to end this way. Please also allow your dog to have fun and relax on holiday and take it for regular walks.

Recommendations for walks

• Long walk Niendorf – Wohlenhagen – Wohlenberg – Niendorf (6 km)
• Short walk Niendorf Strandstraße 7/7a – eastern forest – Tamila Beach Club/dog beach (1.5 km)
• Very short (once up to Niendorf and back (0.8 km)
  The dog beach is approx. 400 m away. Simply walk along the beach towards Wismar.

Dog adventure area

Our 1000 m² adventure area for dogs at Block 4.

Each guest is responsible for ensuring that their dog behaves appropriately and considerately.
Fights, bullying and unbalanced ‘games’ must be stopped by the respective dog owners.
If a dog cannot behave appropriately towards other dogs or people, the owner and dog must leave the premises.
Everyone must dispose of dog faeces (from their own and other dogs).

Despite rather sparse vegetation, the bay has a species-rich fauna. This includes mainly mudflats and waterfowl as well as migratory birds that rest here on their way to the breeding grounds. Outside the dog beach, every dog must be kept on a leash.
